About me
I was born and raised in Crevacuore, a tiny village in the foothills of the Alps in NW Italy. After high school I enrolled at the University of Edinburgh, where I received my B.Sc. with Honours in Geophysics and Meteorology. I later joined the Institut für Meteorologie at the Freie Universität Berlin as a GeoSim Fellow and worked for two years with Prof. Uwe Ulbrich. In 2016 I moved to Seattle where I met Prof. Shuyi Chen and decided to pursue a Ph.D. under her advising. In the summer of 2023 I started my post-doc tenure at the NOAA Pacific Marine Environmental Lab and in 2024 I became a research scientist at the Cooperative Institute for Climate, Ocean and Ecosystem Studies (CICOES). Since July 2025, I am a happy resident of Boston, MA!
When I am not working, you can find me fly fishing along the banks of some ice-cold river (hey I tie my own flies too! If you are fisherman too get in touch and let’s go find some trout), tasting wines or rooting for my beloved Washington Huskies. I am also the President of the Juventus Official Fan Club in Boston!
